Conflict Resolution |
Conflict Resolution: From time-to-time, conflict happens and communications between two people or groups of people will completely shuts down. Needless to say, business losses can be high!!! To break the conflict, constructive conversations between the conflicting parties needs to be initiated. By guiding two individuals of group of individules through the MBTI®, Step II, Form Q instrument, personality discovery process and Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) workshop, open channels of communication can be restablished and inhansed. Our ultimate objective is to get indvidules and groups to ask and answser three questions: What do you want for you, what do you want for me, and what do you want for both of us? Through the anwers to these questions, we start to get enough information out into the open to find common ground and resolve the conflict. SAMPLE TKI REPORT:
Conflict Resolution Process Step One - RFP Process: We engage our clients by responding to a Request For Proposal (RFP). Every client and situation is different. We work under time and materials as well as lump sum contracts. It all starts with a phone call. We do not respond to “What’s your price emails.” We need to know and understand your unique situation and conditions. Step Two - Situation Assessment: On an hourly basis, we meeting with you to learn what type and form of conflict that you are dealing with. Based on your situation, we then recommend what we believe to be the best course of action. For organizations, the following is often the path that we agree to follow: Step Three - MBTI Team Building Workshop: We always like to start our relationship with an organization through an MBTI Team Building Workshop so we all can get to know each other. It’s not unusual that this workshop resolves any pre-existing conflict issues. If the problem is solved at this step, we can stop here; however, we recommend that we go to next step by taking the TKI® Conflict Mode Instrument. Step Four - TKI® Conflict Resolution Workshop: By taking the TKI Conflict Mode Instrument, we can start to learn what causes conflict in relationship to our personality type. By learning the chemistry of conflict, we now have the tools to improve our communication and listing skills to avoid conflict all together. This is a half-day workshop and is designed to be fun, informative, and help all understand how easy it is to avoid conflict in ways that are comfortable to initiate. Life is short, even if we live to be 100 years old and the quality of our life is directly related to living and working within conflict environments. Step Five - Taking Conflict Resolution To The Next Level: If by chance conditions of conflict still exist, the next level of growth and enlightenment come by taking a closer look at one’s or all’s levels of Emotional Intelligence. We work with the following instruments at this stage to lean more about ways to address conflict: Either by one-on-one coaching or by workshop, we introduce exercises that one or all can start practicing that address below normal skills levels that maybe the cause for conflict within your organization. Through years of corporate training, lecturing, and coaching, we find it easy to turn conflict situations around. It takes a mix of enthusiastic leadership, an ability to disarm the hurt and frustrated, an ability to listen and understand, and the experience to know the best approach to get everyone working as a team again.
