Emotional Intelligence EQ-i 2.0®: This instrument measures five main categories (Self-Perception, Self-Expression, Interpersonal Relationships, Decision Making, and Stress Management) and fifteen subcategories of one’s behavior. The EQ-i 2.0 Instrument indicates for each subcategory if one’s behavior falsl under, within, or above a normal range as well as assigns an overall Emotional Intelligence score. Based on this score, one can assess if their score is above or below scores consistently achieved by those who have found success in their life. The EQ-i 2.0 Instrument is an excellent starting point for executive coaching and Top Gun Sales training. Unlike most instraments that measure personality type, the EQ-i 2.0 score can be improved through exercises and coaching over time to bring the score up to within a competitive zone. HISTORY: The Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i®) is the first scientifically validated and most widely used Emotional Intelligence assessment in the world. Based on more than 20 years of research worldwide, the EQ-i examines an individual’s social and emotional strengths and weaknesses. Respondents self-report on their life and workplace performance in 15 key areas of emotional skill that have been proven to contribute to proficiency in complex business activities such as conflict resolution and planning. By identifying the areas that need improvement, the client can immediately begin developing those areas. At the same time, areas where the client excels can be leveraged to their full potential to maximize effectiveness in daily tasks. How To Take The EQ-i 2.0® FIRST: You have to be a client or on the staff of a client and have received a letter, email, or phone call with instructions from us on which assessment instruments to complete. If you are not a client and interested in taking the EQ-i 2.0, we will be happy to work with you; however, we need to be contacted with a phone call to review your unique situation in order to prepare for you an engagement letter for you to sign and return. SECOND: You must not be under any stress or feel like you have to take the EQ-i 2.0. You should have a “Shoes Off Mind-Set" and try not to answer questions in a work vs. private life mode - Answer the questions being true to who you are. Let yourself be pulled to the answer that is most preferable to your personality. The EQ-i 2.0 is voluntary - no one can require you to take the EQ-i 2.0. THIRD: Your results is confidential. No one will know your reported scores without your permission. It’s also important for you to know that it is unethical for EQ-i 2.0 information to be used in making career decisions on others. All types excel in all jobs for a wide range of reasons. In addition, know that the EQ-i 2.0 is NOT an IQ test, it’s only an instrument that gives an indication (EQ-i score) of how well you manage your behavior.
