Assessments help us see and understand aspects about our personality that would otherwise go unnoticed. With personality assessments, there are no right answers other than to be true to who you are at the time you are completing the instrument. Notice that we used the word “Instrument” and not “Test,” that’s because you have to agree with the reported information that come back to or it’s not valid. Thus, these assessments are only instruments to help you discover and understand yourself. There are many instruments listed below and they all have unique applications for specific situations except for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator; which, is applicable in a wide range of situations to help us understand and accept ourselves and others.
Myers-yBriggs Type Indicator® (MBTI): This instrument assesses your preference for Extroversion (E) vs. Introversion (I), Sensing (S) vs. Intuition (N), Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F), and Judging (J) vs. Perceiving (P) to come up with a four letter type description of your personality.
